Export Shipping and Documents for PVC Flooring Orders

How an order moves from our factory to your port: what fits in a container, which trade terms we quote, which documents travel with the goods, and how minimum quantity and production time work.

1. How much fits in a container

The figures below are planning numbers for a 20GP. They are not a packing guarantee: roll length, pallet configuration and packing method all move the number, so the quantity on your quotation is the one that applies.

ContainerProductApproximate quantity
20GPHomogeneous or commercial sheet, 2 mm6,000–7,000 m²
20GPFlexible skirting, 10 cm45,000 m

If a project mixes flooring and accessories, the two normally ship together and the loading is calculated on the combined volume rather than on each item separately.

2. Trade terms we quote

TermWhat it covers
FOB Shanghai / Tianjin / DalianOur standard basis. We deliver to the named port and load; freight and insurance are arranged by the buyer.
CIF / CFRWe arrange the sea freight to your port; under CIF insurance is included, under CFR it is not.
DDP / DAPDoor delivery, available for selected destinations — mainly Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and others) and selected Middle East markets. Confirmed per project, because it also depends on who acts as importer of record.

Which term makes sense depends mostly on whether you already work with a forwarder. A buyer with an established forwarder usually prefers FOB; a first order into a new market often goes more smoothly on CIF or DDP.

3. Documents that travel with the order

HS classification depends on the destination country and is declared on the commercial invoice and packing list of each shipment. Tell us the destination and we confirm the classification we apply before you book freight, rather than leaving it to the forwarder to guess.

4. Minimum quantity and production time

Order typeMinimum
Stock specification300–500 m
Custom colour1,000–2,000 m
New tooling item3,000 m, or one mixed container

For custom colours a tooling charge applies per set; it is refunded once the order reaches one 20GP or 10,000 m.

Sampling or tooling takes 7–10 days. Mass production takes 7–10 days, counted from receipt of the deposit and approval of the sample. Both windows start after those two conditions are met, not from the enquiry date.

5. What to send for a freight quotation

With these six items we can quote goods and freight together, instead of sending the freight question back to you:

Frequently Asked Questions

How much flooring fits in a 20GP container?

For 2 mm homogeneous or commercial sheet, a 20GP takes approximately 6,000–7,000 m². For 10 cm flexible skirting, a 20GP takes approximately 45,000 m. The exact quantity depends on roll length, pallet configuration and packing method, so we confirm it on the quotation.

Which documents are sent with the shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading travel with every order. A certificate of origin is issued where the destination requires one — CO, Form E, Form F or the RCEP form, depending on the trade agreement that applies. A certificate of analysis and third-party test reports are provided on request.

Can you deliver DDP to our site?

DDP and DAP door delivery are available for selected destinations. Because the arrangement depends on the destination and on who acts as importer of record, we confirm it per project before the order is placed rather than quoting it as a standard term.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Stock specifications start at 300–500 m; custom colours at 1,000–2,000 m; a new tooling item at 3,000 m or one mixed container. A tooling charge applies to custom colours and is refunded once the order reaches one 20GP or 10,000 m.

How long does production take?

Sampling or tooling takes 7–10 days. Mass production takes 7–10 days, counted from receipt of the deposit and approval of the sample.

6. Warranty and documented claims

Product lineWarranty period
Homogeneous sheet10–15 years
Heterogeneous sheet5–10 years
Accessories (skirting, profiles, welding rod)2–3 years

Two claim windows apply. Surface damage or a quantity shortfall must be raised within 14 working days of container pickup. Inherent defects can be raised at any time during the warranty period. A written warranty is issued at contract signing, and the period runs from that document — not from the enquiry date.

Claims supported by third-party reports

Fire performance, fungal resistance, restricted substances and physical properties are supported by third-party reports for the product line concerned. Copies are supplied with the shipping documents on request, so the buyer can verify a claim with the issuing laboratory rather than taking our word for it.

Healthcare product lines

Healthcare specifications are offered with resistance to iodine-based disinfectants and to bacterial penetration as a stated product characteristic. Because the applicable data differs by product line, ask us for the test data covering the exact line before it is written into a tender.
