At a glance: four flooring families

Homogeneous vinyl sheet is a single-layer PVC sheet with colour and pattern running through the full thickness, so wear stays invisible. Available at 2.0 mm and 2.5 mm, in 2 m × 20 m rolls, with heat-welded seams that close the floor into one continuous surface.

Heterogeneous vinyl sheet carries a printed decor layer under a clear wear layer of 0.30–0.55 mm with a PUR finish that needs no polishing. Standard 2.0 mm, acoustic 3.5 mm (19 dB impact reduction) and loose-lay 3.0 mm options share the same roll format.

SPC rigid core is a 4.0 mm limestone-composite core with a 0.5 mm wear layer and a 1.5 mm IXPE backing, joined by a drop-lock click system without adhesive. It is fully waterproof and installs over stable substrates with minimal downtime.

ESD vinyl sheet is conductive through the full thickness at 2.0 mm, specified at a surface resistance of 106–109 Ω to IEC 61340-4-1, for electronics production, server rooms and other static-controlled areas.

Family recommendation is a starting point for specification, not a substitute for a project drawing. Send the space type and traffic class and we will confirm the thickness and wear layer in writing.

Values are declared product data. Test reports are issued per production batch and supplied on request; where a property is not declared for a family it is shown as — rather than estimated.

Homogeneous or heterogeneous?

The decisive question is what should happen when the floor wears. In homogeneous sheet the colour and pattern run through the entire thickness, so scuffing and traffic do not open a visual difference between layers — the reason it is the default for hospitals and schools. In heterogeneous sheet a printed decor sits under a clear wear layer, which allows photorealistic wood and stone at a lower cost per square metre, with the wear layer thickness deciding service life.

If the space is judged on appearance retention under heavy traffic, choose homogeneous. If the design brief leads and the budget is fixed, heterogeneous with a 0.5 mm wear layer reaches EN 660-2 Group T and performs well in offices, retail and hotel public areas.

Sheet or SPC?

Sheet flooring is welded into a continuous surface with no joints for soil or water, which is why it dominates healthcare and food areas. SPC is a floating click floor: it needs no adhesive, can be walked on immediately, and tolerates moisture as a material, but it is a jointed surface and depends on a flat, stable substrate.

Choose sheet where hygiene and seamlessness are the requirement; choose SPC where downtime, adhesive cure time or substrate moisture drive the programme.

Specification checklists, junction details, and RFQ guides — everything your project team needs to plan accurately

What to send for a project quotation

A written quotation needs eight inputs. Send them together and the reply is a priced offer rather than a follow-up question.

  1. Total area in square metres, with a sketch or room list if the project is split into zones.
  2. Space type for each zone — ward, corridor, classroom, office, retail, production area.
  3. Substrate: existing floor, screed, plywood or raised access floor, and whether it is new or being stripped out.
  4. Traffic class or the standard the project is being specified against.
  5. Fire requirement and slip requirement, stated as the classification the project must meet.
  6. Colour or decor reference — our reference code, or a photo of the target floor.
  7. Delivery port or site address, and whether packing should be palletised for a container.
  8. Target installation date, so lead time can be confirmed against the production schedule.

Standard MOQ is 500 m² per colour; OEM and custom colour matching start at 1,000 m² per colour. Standard lead time is 7–10 days. Samples are available for approval before an order is placed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order quantity?
Standard MOQ is 500 m² per colour for in-stock references. OEM and custom colour matching start at 1,000 m² per colour.
How do I choose between homogeneous and heterogeneous vinyl?
Homogeneous carries colour and pattern through the full thickness, so wear stays invisible and it suits hospitals, schools and other heavy-traffic areas. Heterogeneous places a printed decor under a clear wear layer, which gives a wider design range at lower cost for offices, retail and hotel interiors.
Which flooring should be specified for a hospital?
Homogeneous vinyl sheet at 2.0 mm with heat-welded seams is the usual basis: colour through the thickness, EN 13501-1 Bfl-s1, and a continuous surface for cleaning. Where static control is part of the brief, ESD sheet at 2.0 mm is specified instead.
Do you provide test documentation for ESD flooring?
Declared electrical data is Rg 106–109 Ω and Rv ≤109 Ω to IEC 61340-4-1, with body voltage below 100 V to IEC 61340-4-5. Batch test reports are supplied on request.
What is the lead time and how are prices quoted?
Standard lead time is 7–10 days. Prices are quoted per project after we receive the area, space type, thickness and colour reference, because freight and packing differ by destination.

If you would rather start from the building type than from the material, the solutions by application page works the other way round: hospitals, schools, hotels, cleanrooms and retail, each with one recommended construction, its specification guide and its downloads.

Four details get you a quoted price

  • Specification — product line, thickness, roll or plank size, colour reference
  • Quantity — total square metres, and whether it ships in one lot or in phases
  • Destination — port or city, so we can quote FOB or CIF
  • Delivery window — the date the material has to be on site

Send these four by email or WhatsApp and we reply with a technical data sheet and a firm price. With fewer details we can only quote a range.
