Flooring Solutions by Application

Five application types, each with the recommended floor construction, the standards your project will be asked about, and the documents you can check before you specify. Every item below links to a page that already exists on this site — no brochure request, no form, no registration.

How to use this page

  1. Find the application closest to your project. If a project spans several — a hospital with offices, for example — start with the higher-risk zone.
  2. Open the specification guide and check the standards it names against your tender document.
  3. Download the brochure and the test reports, then send the specification to us for a quotation with the correct construction and accessories.
Healthcare

Hospitals & Clinics

Corridors, wards and treatment rooms need a seamless, cleanable surface that resists staining and tolerates frequent disinfection. Heat-welded homogeneous sheet with coved skirting removes the seams and corners where soil and bacteria collect.

Education

Schools & Universities

Classrooms, corridors and canteens see heavy footfall and constant cleaning. Slip resistance in wet conditions is the specification point that decides most education projects, followed by indentation resistance under stacked furniture.

Hospitality

Hotels & Resorts

Guest rooms, corridors and wet areas each carry different requirements. Bedrooms favour comfort and acoustics, corridors favour wear resistance, and bathrooms favour welded, waterproof detailing.

Cleanrooms & ESD

Cleanrooms, ESD Areas & Data Centres

Electronics, pharmaceutical and server environments need a floor that dissipates static charge and is verifiable on site. Resistance range, grounding path and the test method used on delivery decide whether the installation passes handover.

Retail & Commercial

Retail, Offices & Public Space

Retail floors face trolley wheels, point loads and visual demands at the entrance. The choice between SPC rigid core and homogeneous sheet usually comes down to subfloor condition and how the space will be cleaned.

A floor is a system, not a sheet

Every solution above is installed with the same accessory set: welding rod matched to the sheet colour, cove former for the skirting radius, capping strip to close the top edge, and the correct adhesive and primer for the subfloor. Omitting one of them is the most common reason a welded floor fails at handover. The accessory range sits under the GREEN POINT brand and is documented in the welding rods, cove former, capping strip and adhesives pages.

For the standards behind each claim, see the vinyl flooring standards guide and the certificates & test reports page.
