Product Overview

Impact-resistant PVC wall protection absorbs strikes from trolleys, beds, wheelchairs, and daily traffic, preserving wall finishes and reducing maintenance costs. Colour-matched to the UNITECH NEXUS flooring range for cohesive interiors.

For hospital and healthcare projects, the range covers hospital handrails, wall guards, corner guards and bumper rails for corridors, wards and public areas.

What is the difference between handrails and wall guards?

Handrails (140 mm or 159 mm wide) are designed for grasping support along corridors and include an ergonomic grip profile. Wall guards (125/150/200 mm wide) are horizontal impact protection rails that absorb strikes from trolleys, beds, wheelchairs, and equipment at a lower height. Both use a continuous aluminum retainer with snap-on PVC cover.

Are wall protection products fire-rated?

Yes. All GREEN POINT wall protection products (handrails, wall guards, and corner guards) are manufactured from BS 476 Class 1 fire-rated impact-modified PVC compound. The products comply with BS 8300 accessibility standards, with ADA-compliant options available.

Can wall protection be custom-coloured?

Yes. 18 standard colours are available in stock. Custom colours can be produced to match any RAL, Pantone, or physical sample, with MOQ of 500 linear metres per colour. All wall protection products can be colour-coordinated with UNITECH NEXUS flooring and GREEN POINT skirting for fully integrated interiors.

How is wall protection installed?

Handrails and wall guards use a continuous aluminum retainer that is mechanically fixed to the wall with screws and wall plugs. The PVC cover snaps onto the retainer for a clean, fastener-free finish. Corner guards can be adhesive-fixed or screw-fixed depending on substrate. Internal and external corner pieces, end caps, and joint connectors are available.
