Frequently Asked Questions

What does SPC stand for in flooring?

SPC means Stone Plastic Composite (also called rigid core). The core is limestone powder + PVC + stabilisers, giving 100% waterproof, dimensionally stable planks installed by click-lock floating method, often with an IXPE silent backing.

Is a thicker wear layer always better?

For residential and light commercial, 0.3 mm (12 mil) is adequate. For heavy commercial and retail, 0.5 mm (20 mil) is the practical minimum, with 0.7 mm (28 mil) for the heaviest traffic. Thicker wear layer extends service life but adds cost.

Is SPC waterproof?

Yes — the rigid stone-plastic core is 100% waterproof, unlike standard dry-back LVT which is only water-resistant. SPC is suitable for bathrooms, kitchens and laundry areas.

Four details get you a quoted price

  • Specification — product line, thickness, roll or plank size, colour reference
  • Quantity — total square metres, and whether it ships in one lot or in phases
  • Destination — port or city, so we can quote FOB or CIF
  • Delivery window — the date the material has to be on site

Send these four by email or WhatsApp and we reply with a technical data sheet and a firm price. With fewer details we can only quote a range.
