FAQ

What is a cove former for?

It shapes the curved transition where the vinyl sheet turns up the wall, replacing the dirt-collecting 90-degree corner with a smooth 15 mm / 38 mm radius. Site-formed with a heat gun and welded with a matching PVC rod, it gives a seamless, washable junction for wet areas and hygienic commercial interiors.

Does it need a capping strip?

Yes. The capping strip closes the top edge where the cove former meets the wall, so the coving system finishes flush and wipe-clean instead of leaving an exposed edge. It comes from the same GREEN POINT range and is colour-matched to the cove former and the vinyl sheet.

Can it be welded?

Yes. Both joints are welded with a matching PVC welding rod: cove former to vinyl sheet, and cove former to capping strip. That makes the junction continuous rather than a butt joint that traps water and soil. Welding is done on site once the sheet has been heat-formed to the 15 mm / 38 mm radius.

Four details get you a quoted price

  • Specification — product line, thickness, roll or plank size, colour reference
  • Quantity — total square metres, and whether it ships in one lot or in phases
  • Destination — port or city, so we can quote FOB or CIF
  • Delivery window — the date the material has to be on site

Send these four by email or WhatsApp and we reply with a technical data sheet and a firm price. With fewer details we can only quote a range.
