FAQ

Is capping necessary?

It protects the top edge of the skirting and hides the cut line where the wall covering stops. Without it, that edge stays open: dust collects in the gap, the cut can fray, and the junction looks unfinished. It is a small part, but it is what makes a wall-floor detail look deliberate rather than improvised.

Can it match my skirting colour?

Yes. The capping range is colour-matched to the GREEN POINT skirting chart, so the cap, the skirting and the cove former can be specified from one reference instead of being matched by eye on site. If your project uses a custom colour, we can quote against your sample or your RAL reference.

How is it fixed?

With acrylic contact adhesive applied to both faces, pressed into position; external and internal corners are mitred at 45° so the joint closes cleanly. No special tools are needed beyond a mitre box and a sharp knife, and the adhesive stays effective in areas that are cleaned frequently.

Four details get you a quoted price

  • Specification — product line, thickness, roll or plank size, colour reference
  • Quantity — total square metres, and whether it ships in one lot or in phases
  • Destination — port or city, so we can quote FOB or CIF
  • Delivery window — the date the material has to be on site

Send these four by email or WhatsApp and we reply with a technical data sheet and a firm price. With fewer details we can only quote a range.
