FAQ

What height differences can it cover?

Coverage depends on the profile, not on the flooring: standard trim covers roughly 3 mm to 15 mm of height difference between two adjoining surfaces. Above that, a ramp or a levelling compound is the better answer, because a steep trim edge becomes a trip point and a wheel stopper for trolleys.

Is it fixed with screws or glue?

It depends on the profile. Aluminium transition profiles are screwed down, which suits thresholds carrying heavy traffic and trolleys. PVC profiles are fixed with acrylic contact adhesive, so no fixings show on the surface and the joint stays cleanable. The substrate still has to be sound, dry and level before either is installed.

Does it match the capping range?

The PVC version is colour-matched to the GREEN POINT chart, so the transition, the skirting and the capping strip can be ordered under one reference instead of being matched by eye on site. Aluminium profiles come in their own finishes, typically anodised or mill finish, and are specified separately.

Four details get you a quoted price

  • Specification — product line, thickness, roll or plank size, colour reference
  • Quantity — total square metres, and whether it ships in one lot or in phases
  • Destination — port or city, so we can quote FOB or CIF
  • Delivery window — the date the material has to be on site

Send these four by email or WhatsApp and we reply with a technical data sheet and a firm price. With fewer details we can only quote a range.
