Product Overview

UNITECH NEXUS office heterogeneous vinyl combines a 0.30-0.55mm wear layer with castor-chair certified construction (EN 425), so office chairs roll smoothly without marking. Acoustic backings are available for open-plan floors over meeting rooms.

Glue-down installation keeps the floor dimensionally stable; loose-lay options speed up refits.

FAQ

Will office chairs mark the floor?

No. The range is castor-chair certified to EN 425, which tests continuous rolling under a loaded chair: the surface must show no permanent indentation and no colour transfer to the wheels. Combined with the 0.30-0.55 mm wear layer, it handles daily office chair traffic without visible marking.

Can we install over existing flooring?

Loose-lay can go straight over most stable existing floors, including old vinyl and tile, with no adhesive. Glue-down needs a sound, dry, level substrate and a full-spread adhesive, and is the better choice for heavy traffic or where the floor must be welded and coved. Tell us the existing floor type and we will confirm the method.

Is it suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes. It can be laid over underfloor heating, with the surface temperature limited to 27°C and an adhesive approved for warm floors. Bring the heating up gradually after installation and keep the system within the 27°C limit in service, so the joints are not stressed by dimensional movement.
