UNITECH NEXUS acoustic heterogeneous vinyl adds a closed-cell foam backing to the printed vinyl construction, reducing impact sound transmission (up to 19dB, EN ISO 717-2) while keeping the decorative top layer of a standard heterogeneous product.

A practical floor-upgrade solution for multi-storey residential, hotels and offices where noise complaints matter.

FAQ

Does acoustic vinyl replace underlay?

For most residential builds yes — the 1.0-2.0mm foam backing replaces a separate underlay. For the highest acoustic classes combine with an acoustic membrane.

Is it stable under heavy furniture?

Closed-cell foam resists compression; keep rolling loads below 500kg wheel load or add a compact layer.

Can it be welded?

Acoustic versions are usually loose-lay or glued without welding; welding is possible on rigid backings.
